Haefligers Cottage

The relationship between the familiar and the foreign are concepts which Amy Lee Sanford seeks to research during her residency at Hill End. Living for one month in a wholly different environment, as compared to her native Cambodia, Amy will explore how notions of foreign are intimated, both internally and externally, personally and interpersonally. The creative result of this inquiry will be informed by the residency experience itself.

This project was supported through an Artist or Curator in Residence grant in partnership with Gallery 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, Sydney. The Artist or Curator in Residence Grant Program is supported by the Copyright Agency Limited’s Cultural Fund, and is managed by Museums and Galleries of NSW.
