How do I Apply?
Hill End is a small former gold mining town in New South Wales, Australia, situated in an upland valley 84km north west of Bathurst and 35km west of Sofala. The village is not accessible via public transport and it is just over 4 hours drive from the Sydney CBD.
The Hill End Artists in Residence Program began as a partnership between Bathurst Regional Council and curator Gavin Wilson in 1995. Since then the program has grown into one of Australia's most sought after residencies. The Residency Program allows contemporary Australian and international artists the chance to experience and respond to the historically charged landscape of Hill End.
Visual artists, writers/curators and new media/film/video artists are invited to apply for the 2018 season of residencies at Hill End.
2018 applications close on Tuesday 31 October 2017 at 5pm, anyone experiencing difficulty submitting their application see below.
