Murrays Cottage

1 - 28 September 2018

Interested in the pursuit of knowledge by confrontation with the unknown, Ellie Chalmers-Robinson will explore histories of voyage, pursuit and discovery at Hill End. Observing the relationships between the village’s man-made structures and the loose, twisted and irregular formations of the Hill End landscape, Chalmers-Robinson will develop paintings intimating the tactile qualities of these forms through mark making to create worlds that shift between controlled, recognisable architectural space and chaotic unfamiliar and unpredictable space.
