Anne Ferran has been exhibiting since the 1980’s, creating work that intellectually and emotionally engages with history and archival material. Whilst in Hill End she will make a thorough archival and photographic record of the small library in Haefligers Cottage. She will also create new photographic works that combine texts drawn from selected books in the library with images of the surrounding landscape. A second project is to experiment with various means to physically mark the time she spends inside the cottage and in the garden.
