Haefligers Cottage

20 January - 20 February 2019

The practices of Duha Ali and Justine Youssef intersect at ideas drawn from their Arab and Kurdish heritage, and their current place within Australia as first-generation migrant women. Through film, photography and performance based methodologies they will develop a site specific body of work at Hill End. This work will be derived from an exploration of the town’s gold-mining history, Indigenous history and the artists’ own cultural practices.
