Murrays Cottage

1 - 26 February 2018

Following her 2016 Hill End residency, Aletheia Casey will create a new body of photographic work which examines the notion of ‘forgetting’ throughout Australian history. The work will reflect on loss, historical memory and national silencing through the use of overlaid photographs and photograms which will be scratched, reworked, painted and manipulated to depict the uncovering of diverse truths and perspectives of the past. Through landscapes and portraiture the work aims to reflect our own evolving understanding of history.
