For over 20 years vernacular architecture and streetscapes have been recurring themes in Kathryn Orton's drawings, prints, artists' books and installations. Her work records and responds to the rapidly changing urban landscapes in which she has lived and worked. Kathryn plans to record the unique place that is Hill End now and to explore new ideas about urban landscape by comparing nature and architecture, the past and the present, through drawings which could then evolve into print based works
