During her Hill End reidency, Liz Walker will research and produce a new body or work called Nature's Table. Based on childhood memories of classroom 'nature tables' covered with natural objects - twigs, feathers, cocoons, insects, stones, feathers, leaves and gum nuts of varying colours, textures and sizes - Walker will find, photograph, draw and replicate objects she finds around Hill End. These wood and metal replicas will then form part of a three dimensional map which will form the basis for community workshops in the village.
