Through the mediums of photography, sculpture and video installation Shoufay Derz’s recent artwork is a personal reflection on death and the meaning of emptiness. During her residency Shoufay Derz will create will create a screen based artwork charting her engagement with the gold mined landscape. The work will focus on ideas of accumulation, dissolution and the material and symbolic qualities of gold. This work will be part of her solo exhibition at Artereal gallery, Sydney in December 2015.
